Schools at the Academy for Health Professions
The Heidelberg University Hospitalthe Salem Hospital of the Evang. Stadtmission Heidelberg gGmbH and the elderly care of the Evang. Stadtmission Heidelberg gGmbH are sponsors of the Academy for Healthcare Professions and train their young professionals here. Heidelberg University Hospital, the Protestant City Mission or cooperating institutions conclude the training contracts and make their clinics, nursing homes and other facilities available for practical training. The theoretical training takes place at the Academy for Health Professions, which is also responsible for the organization and implementation of the training courses.
Health and nursing school
There are 18 training places available per course in healthcare and nursing assistance. Training begins on March 1 and September 1 of each year.
Orthoptist school
The orthoptist school at Heidelberg University Hospital in the Eye Clinic begins training in October, always two years in a row with six trainees.
School for speech therapy
The School of Speech Therapy at Heidelberg University Hospital accepts ten trainees every year on October 1.
School for MTL

The School of Physiotherapy at Heidelberg University Hospital is located in Heidelberg-Schlierbach on the grounds of the Orthopaedic University Hospital. Training begins annually on November 1.
