1. validity
Unless otherwise contractually agreed, the General Terms and Conditions apply to participants in AfG training and continuing education courses who are not employees of Heidelberg University Hospital.
2 Registration
Registration for further education and training courses must be made in writing using a form sent by letter, fax or online. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. Registered participants will receive a confirmation of registration and an invoice. By registering, the participant accepts the general terms and conditions of AfG.
3. terms of payment
The seminar fees are due upon receipt of the invoice without any deductions. Only those who have paid the fees are entitled to participate in the seminar.
4 Cancellation
Cancellation must be made in writing - by post, fax or e-mail. The date of receipt shall apply. Cancellation up to 28 calendar days before the start of the seminar will incur a cancellation fee of 30 euros. Seminar fees already paid will be refunded. Cancellations up to ten calendar days before the start of the seminar will be subject to a cancellation fee and 50 percent of the seminar fees. In the event of later cancellation or non-participation, the entire seminar fee is due. If a substitute participant is provided, the cancellation fee is waived. The substitute participant must register in writing.
5 Cancellations by AfG
Due to the long planning period for further education and training courses, AfG reserves the right to cancel or postpone events for important reasons. Fees already paid will be refunded. Further claims are excluded. In exceptional cases, speakers may also be replaced.
6 Copyright
All documents and information stored on data carriers are subject to the applicable copyright law and may only be reproduced with the consent of AfG.
7 Liability
Liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health is excluded, unless they are based on a negligent breach of duty by AfG or an intentional or negligent breach of duty by a legal representative or vicarious agent of AfG. We shall only be liable for other damages for which AfG is responsible, irrespective of the legal grounds, in cases of intent or gross negligence. Otherwise, liability is excluded. This applies in particular to accidents during arrival and departure and during the stay at the conference venue, for other personal injury and property damage as well as for theft of items brought along.
8. data protection clause
By registering, the participant agrees that his/her personal data may be processed electronically by AfG for the purpose of organizing the seminar and sending information. AfG undertakes not to pass this data on to third parties unless the participant has expressly given his consent on an ad hoc basis.
9. severability clause
Should any provision of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision that comes as close as possible to the replaced provision.
The contractual relationship is subject to German law. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Heidelberg, insofar as this is legally permissible.
