Participants acquire the job title "Technical Sterilization Assistant" with the Specialist Training Course I
Specialist training course I is a specialist training course in accordance with the guidelines of the German Society for Sterile Supply (DGSV).
The course contents of the framework plan provide the course participants with basic knowledge of microbiology and hospital hygiene as well as the various reprocessing and sterilization procedures, instrument knowledge, information on the organization of sterile supply, legal bases and principles of quality assurance.

The course comprises 120 hours of theory.
Prerequisite
The admission requirement for the examination is 150 hours of practical work based on the DGSV e.V. catalog of activities. The following are also required: Proof of practical experience in the reprocessing of medical devices is recommended. Secondary school leaving certificate or comparable school and vocational training. Course language is German and should be understood in spoken and written form.
