About the school

We have been training physiotherapists at Heidelberg University Hospital since 1947. The school is located in Schlierbach on the grounds of the Orthopaedic University Hospital Heidelberg, just a few kilometers from Heidelberg city center.

In the winter semester 2025/26, Heidelberg University will offer the integrated physiotherapy science course for the first time. As soon as the application procedure and admission requirements have been determined, all relevant information will be published here.

Legal framework

Physiotherapist training is based on theLaw on the Professions in Physiotherapy (Masseur and Physiotherapist Act, MPhG).

School team

The school team includes 6 full-time teachers, a doctor, a secretary and part-time lecturers. The principal is Barbara Suppé, a qualified physiotherapist (FH).
