Idea
Having a stoma is a new and often stressful life situation for the patient. Do you want to offer the patient the best possible conditions for rehabilitation through your nursing care, but have the impression that your knowledge of stoma care is not sufficient?
Goal
This seminar provides you with the theoretical foundations that you can use to support the patient as a competent contact person.
Contents
You can contribute your own experience and expand your knowledge by addressing the following questions:
- How can I as a nurse be helpful to the patient preoperatively?
- What are the nursing consequences of the different stoma systems?
- Which care materials do I use and when?
- How can I prevent or intervene in the event of care problems?
- What support can I offer the patient in their changed life situation?
