Teaching and learning is understood as a process of interaction in which participants are empowered to self-determine and define their own educational needs.
The exemplary transfer of knowledge enables participants to transfer knowledge to professional situations and to expand and reflect on their own skills.
Goals
Nursing staff on special monitoring and emergency admission wards face a variety of challenges in their day-to-day work.
The qualification measure "Nursing specialist in the intermediate care area" aims to further develop nursing skills for the specific areas of responsibility and thus increase the confidence to act.
Form and content
The qualification is offered in modular form. Modules are understood as self-contained learning units and end with a certificate of achievement based on the complex requirements.
- Taking responsibility for yourself
- Care situations of patients with impaired breathing
- Care situations for patients with impaired cardiovascular function
- Care situations of patients with impaired metabolism
- Care situations for patients with impaired cognition
The individual modules are based on an interdisciplinary teaching concept.
Duration
The qualification takes ten months to complete. Theoretical teaching takes place in the form of study days at the Academy for Healthcare Professions.
There is the possibility of recognition of qualification content for further training in anaesthesia and intensive care. Recognition is the responsibility of the training supervisor.
Prerequisite for participation
Certified nursing staff in healthcare and nursing, healthcare and pediatric nursing and geriatric nursing who work on an IMC ward or intensive care unit are eligible to participate.
