About the school
Since 1955, the School of Speech Therapy has been training highly qualified speech therapists have been trained. The School of Speech Therapy is located in the Head Clinic of Heidelberg University Hospital (Im Neuenheimer Feld 400) and thus ensures close integration of theory and practice. The School of Speech Therapy at Heidelberg University Hospital is a member of the Federal Association of German Schools of Speech Therapy e.V.
Training begins on October 1 of each year. Applications for the start of training on October 1 are accepted until February 15 of the same year. We accept ten trainees each year.
Legal framework
The theoretical and practical training of speech therapists is carried out in accordance with the statutory guidelines of the Training and Examination Regulations for Speech Therapists (LogAPrO).
School team
The school team includes 5 full-time teachers, a secretary and part-time lecturers. The head of the school is Susanne Janknecht, M.A., a certified speech therapist (dbl).
