In outpatient care, the agreement on the Section 6 framework recommendation - HKP came into force on 01.01.2022.

Special nursing expertise lies in the care of chronic and severely healing wounds. The specific service providers should enable their patients to receive needs-based wound care from qualified nursing staff.

The necessary additional qualification for nursing staff working in outpatient wound care comprises at least 84 teaching units of 45 minutes each (56 teaching units are proven by the participant's Wound Expert ICW® certificate).

Nursing staff responsible for wound care must provide evidence of 168 teaching units (basic seminar Wound Expert + Specialist Wound Therapist ICW®).

We offer this course as part of the 1st module Wound Therapist ICW®.
