No, the Academy does not offer internships. You must apply directly to the clinics or practices for an internship.
An internship is not mandatory before the apprenticeship. However, we generally recommend an internship to familiarise yourself with the profession. For some apprenticeships, proof of a work placement increases your chances of being offered an apprenticeship with us.
For an apprenticeship, you can also send us your documents by e-mail. Please use the usual formats.

There are application deadlines for the physiotherapy and speech therapist training programmes. For all other training programmes, we accept applications at any time as long as training places are available.

Rooms in staff residences can be rented. If there are more enquiries than rooms, the place of residence is decisive. Trainees who do not live in Heidelberg or the Rhine-Neckar district will be considered first.
